Tokyo Ryogoku Sumo Morning Practice + Photo Shoot with Wrestlers
1.Tokyo Ryogoku Sumo Morning Practice + Photo Shoot with Wrestlers
Meet your guide at Ryogoku JR Station at 8 a.m. and walk to a working sumo stable for close-up morning practice. Guides such as Mayu, Masao, and Ayaka have helped explain the sport, customs, and wrestler life. You may get photos afterward, but the stable decides. Expect quiet viewing, floor seating, and a small group capped at seven.

“The practice itself was incredible, it was amazing to see the wrestlers up close. However, our group arrived last and we were seated in the back, which was a bit disappointing. I wish there had been an option to sit in the front row, maybe through a different tour.”
